Veterans Day
Today is the 249th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps, of which I, my dear Husband, and His “best man” belong!
Our motto, “Semper fi,” is a shortened version of the Latin phrase semper fidelis, which means “always faithful.”
“Once a Marine, always a Marine,” describes the lifelong commitment to serving God, our country, and our fellow man, even after active duty service.
Just as our Marine Corps motto portrays, I pray that I will be “always faithful,” first and foremost, to God, His beloved Son, His Holy Word, and His Truth!
May Veterans Day be a special day, set apart, where we truly honour the men and women in the Armed Forces who served, and are currently serving, our country; and may we never forget the families of our comrades who had to pay the ultimate sacrifice!”
Most importantly, may we always remember God, and Jesus’ great sacrifice, in securing the salvation of our souls, when He freely gave His Life on the cross!
Finally, may I always be diligent to love and earnestly pray for my beloved children, and my brothers and sisters in Christ; and to be especially mindful of those who have yet to meet the LORD Jesus Christ, the only Saviour!
All praise, honour, and glory be unto the One who sits upon the Throne, and unto the Lamb, forever and ever! Amen!
