He Is Risen!

19 April 2022 / 18 Nisan 5782 / 3rd Day of the Omer

Today is the memorial of The Resurrection of Jesus Christ, which according to the Scriptures (Matthew 12:40; 20:19), took place three days and three nights after Passover when the LORD was crucified.

My article, linked above, goes into detail as to why the celebration of Easter is not typically based on the truth of when Jesus truly rose from the grave. So many leaders in the churches have dismissed the Jewishness of this Holy Season, along with The Biblical Holy Days.

Interestingly, this year Passover fell on the holiday of Good Friday–the day many Catholics and Christians commemorate the suffering and the death of Jesus. Nonetheless, Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world, and whomsoever will truly believe on Him will have eternal Life in Heaven one great and glorious day! (1 Timothy 1:16)

There are many who claim to be followers of Christ, but regardless of a man’s position in the church, or status in this life, God is the One who decides who are acceptable before Him. I am reminded of a very wise saying from the Book of Samuel–a very devoted man of God.

1 Samuel 16:7 “But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.”

Ironically, today is also the anniversary of a major event in history, when a man, who claimed to be the “Christ,” was taken from this earth in a flaming inferno on 19 April 1993! And one day God will deal with all men who are misleading His people!

May God have mercy on us in this Age of Apostasy! May God be with us as we seek to honor Him and His great sacrifice when He laid down His precious life, so that men may have Eternal Life! And may we always seek to know the Truth and live it out in our lives. Amen!

With the love of Christ,

This evening marks the Last Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and the end of the Passover Season. Most Orthodox Jews value this special time, but along with most Christians, do not understand the ultimate significance of Passover, or other Biblical Holy Days.

Saul/Paul, a devout Jew, was forever changed, after he met Jesus Christ, the Messiah of Israel, and it was his hope that his brethren would believe the gospel too! As he proclaimed:

Romans 10:1   “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

Romans 10:2   For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

Romans 10:3   For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Romans 10:4   For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Romans 10:5   For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

Romans 10:6   But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

Romans 10:7   Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

Romans 10:8   But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

Romans 10:9   That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 10:10   For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:11   For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

Romans 10:12   For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.

Romans 10:13   For whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved.”

There are many views of what it takes to be saved, and have a place in Heaven, but this passage says it all! And it is my sincere prayer, that my loved ones, along with those I am able to persuade to call upon the LORD, because of something I have written or said, will be among that number!
