Pesach 2023 / Passover
The Feast of Unleavened Bread
5-12 April 2023 / 15-21 Nisan 5783
Due to the hatred and vengeance of the religious leaders, my LORD, and my God, was crucified on Passover, but the Feast of Unleavened Bread and Passover is not typically commemorated in the churches!
The Word of God should be the standard for all who name the name of Christ, and I hope you will prayerfully consider this vital passage.
1 Corinthians 11:23-32 “For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which He was betrayed took bread: And when He had given thanks, He brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is My body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of Me.
After the same manner also He took the cup, when He had supped, saying, This cup is the New Testament in My blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of Me.
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup (of Passover), ye do shew the Lord’s death till He come.
Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.
For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.”
Passover is an extremely important Holy Day for the Jewish people, but most have yet to recognize Jesus as the Messiah. However, Christians should be at the forefront in celebrating this very special season, but they further propagate the error by claiming Jesus was crucified on Friday! It is utterly amazing to me that this deception is verifiable in plain sight!
Matthew 27:62-64” Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while He was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night, and steal Him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.”
John 2:19-20-22 “Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? But He spake of the temple of His body.
When therefore He was risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this unto them; and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.”
Just as the disciples didn’t believe Mary when she saw the LORD, you don’t have to take my word for it either, but I sincerely pray that you will believe the words of Christ Jesus, and the Holy Scriptures too!
Mark 16:9-11 “Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven devils. And she went and told them that had been with Him, as they mourned and wept. And they, when they had heard that He was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.”
Matthew 12:38-40 “Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from Thee. But He answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”
Jesus celebrated Passover with His disciples on Wednesday evening (15 Nisan), and the next morning (during Passover) the chief priests and rulers condemned Jesus to death. And as prophesied, three days later Jesus Christ rose from the grave on the first day of the week.
In God’s amazing plan, Passover fell on Wednesday evening, in the year of our LORD, Two Thousand, and Twenty-Three; thus, God’s people truly celebrated the Day our Risen Saviour conquered Death!
