Shavuot / Pentecost
Shavuot commemorates the anniversary of the day the LORD God gave the Ten Commandments to the nation of Israel who had gathered at Mount Sinai. This Biblical Holy Day, is one of the three pilgrimage festivals, and marks the conclusion of the Counting of the Omer.
This Day also commemorates when God sent His Holy Spirit to His followers who were waiting for the promise of His Spirit.
Acts 2:1-4 “And when the Day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
I also believe it was during this special season that the Son of God made His entrance into this dark and dying world, as outlined in “The Biblical Holy Days.”
I encourage you to prayerfully read the articles I have highlighted, and may God be with you as you consider what God has led me to share. And I must proclaim: Glory To God in Highest! Amen!
