Something To Think About
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
Romans 5:11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.”
Please don’t believe the lie that “All men were born alive to God, all mankind had their names written in the book of life. The only way your name can be blotted out of the book of life is if you receive—if you refuse to receive the sacrifice—the substitute of Jesus, then your name will be blotted out of the book of life.”
This excerpt from “Walking With the Enemy,” was when I asked one of the teachers of the Bible Study/Cult group I was involved with, how can a Christian’s name be “blotted out of the Book of Life.” I have heard others repeat this lie, but it’s an evil and deceptive doctrine to teach that “all mankind had their names written in the book of life!”
This is one such passage that proves it:
Revelation 17:8 “The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.”
When we come into this world, we are born with a sin nature that we inherited from Adam, and in order to have a right relation with God, we must be “born again” by the Holy Spirit of God, that is only made possible because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
2 John 1:7 “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
2 John 1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
2 John 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
2 John 1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”
This is the passage referenced above: Please prayerfully consider what God is saying here.
Revelation 3:1 “And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
Revelation 3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Revelation 3:4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Revelation 3:6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
One day all of us will give an account of our lives before God, and we will be judged by what we did in this life, especially in regard to His dear Son who laid down His precious life for US!
Revelation 20:11 “And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Yom Kippur, also known in the Holy Scriptures as the Day of Atonement, took place this year on 4-5 October 2022 / 10 Tishrei 5783. It is considered the holiest day in Judaism, and even though the Jewish people, as a Nation, have yet to believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah of Israel, it is my prayer that I will see their salvation.
There is much more I can say about this very special Holy Day on the Hebrew Calendar, but this is my hope for all those who receive the “Testimony of Jesus” in my life:
