31 December 2021 / 27 Tevet 5782
I am posting the following text messages that I have shared with some of my contacts this year (December 2020 through December 2021) with the hope that the reflections of my time spent with the LORD God and His Word, will be an encouragement and blessing to others.
We are living in a very dark time, and I pray that God will be with you as you seek to walk with Him in the True Light!
Something To Think About Today 12/27/2021:
We may never fully understand or know the reasons for the delays, detours, or even the disappointments in this life, but God knows! And for those who love and belong to Him, He will watch over us and see us through to the end!
Mark 13:33 “Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
Mark 13:34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left His house, and gave authority to His servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
Mark 13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the Master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
Mark 13:36 Lest coming suddenly He find you sleeping.
Mark 13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”
There are so many different beliefs and teachings on the coming of the LORD, but I want to encourage you to earnestly get before God, and study the Holy Scriptures for yourself, and allow God’s Spirit to lead and guide you into the Truth, because the Truth is all that really matters! And may God be with you in your journey! 💕💜
Something To Think About Today 12/20/2021:
I hope you will prayerfully read the following Scripture passage, and seriously think about the dangers of sin and the affect it can have on us.
God was addressing His people in Jerusalem, and He was very upset with them for their continuous sins. He even compared them with Sodom, and said the sins of His people were even greater!
Notice the sins that God addresses in these verses, which apparently caused the people of Sodom to walk in even worse sin; and eventually led to their downfall and destruction, because they refused to acknowledge and repent of their sins against God.
Ezekiel 16:48 “As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.
Ezekiel 16:49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
Ezekiel 16:50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before Me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.
Ezekiel 16:51 Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done.”
There is a progression into sin and the darkness where the Devil resides… Pride, gluttony, being abundantly idle and lazy, and having no concern for the poor, or any desire to help those who need you, are the early stages of a major fall…
And we all know what became of the wicked men of Sodom and Gomorrah!
When religious leaders of the largest Baptist denomination in America, promotes and justifies the same abominable behavior as Sodom, we can know that God’s Judgment is imminent!
Jude 1:5 “I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
May Almighty God have mercy on the “remnant,” who truly love Him, that are faithfully and patiently awaiting His return!
Revelation 22:20 “He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”
I will be praying for you, and I truly appreciate your prayers too! 🙏🏻💕
Something To Think About Today on 7 December 2021:
Proverbs 4:25 “Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
Proverbs 4:26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
Proverbs 4:27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.”
That is surely an important admonition and warning for God’s people today!
What we look upon, where we go, and what we do in the privacy of our homes & phones, and especially our hearts, reveals who we truly serve—whether we are led by God’s Holy Spirit or our sinful flesh…
Galatians 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”
May God bless and keep you and your loved ones this Holiday Season! 🙏🏻💕
Something To Think about Today 22 November 2021:
I know this is a bit lengthy, but when you have time alone with the LORD, I hope you will prayerfully consider this message.
~C. Read
The following passage touches on vital doctrines that Jesus was teaching His disciples, and He taught this in the presence of a large gathering because He wanted them to hear it too.
Luke 12:1 “In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, He began to say unto His disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees (religious leaders), which is hypocrisy.
Luke 12:2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
Luke 12:3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
Luke 12:4 And I say unto you My friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you Whom ye shall fear: Fear Him, which after He hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear Him…”
Luke 12:8 “Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess Me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
Luke 12:9 But he that denieth Me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
Luke 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.”
[Remember, Jesus was addressing His disciples.]
Please be warned: NEVER deny Jesus Christ—the TRUE Jesus Christ—no matter what you may lose in this world—even under threat of death!
Moreover, NEVER blasphemy the Holy Spirit, or speak evil of His work and claim it is of the Devil!
These sins have extremely grave consequences! As Jesus said again in Matthew 12:32b “…but whosever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall NOT be forgiven him, in this world, neither in the world to come.”
Many well meaning people are caught in Satan’s trap and have been deceived by him. For those who truly love God, it is my earnest prayer that He will release the chains that bind them, and give them eyes to see the truth!
1 John 5:13 “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us:
1 John 5:15 And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.
1 John 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and He shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
1 John 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.”
This passage, along with others, absolutely refutes that “all sins are the same,” along with the “Once Saved, Always Saved” theory, whereby men have made the false claim that if a person has ever gone to the altar and made a “profession of faith,” they are “saved,” and can never be “unsaved,” regardless of how they live their lives. They say their past, present, and future sins are covered under the blood of Jesus Christ. These teachings, which are prevalent in many SBC Churches, has only given a false sense of security; and I am afraid for those who have taught any of this. Remember, God holds preachers and teachers to a greater degree of accountability!
Yes, we can be confident in our relationship with God, but I also know that if His Spirit truly resides inside of us, He will convict us of the error of our ways, and we won’t be able to live with ourselves until we repent, except for those who love their sin more than God…
I know for certain that not everyone who names the name of Christ, loves Him. I also know that there are many Pentecostal, Charismatic, and even evangelical “ministers” that are led by evil spirits who are proclaiming outrageous things in the name of Jesus! And one great and dreadful Day they will answer to God for all the lies they have spoken in His Name, and how they blasphemed His Holy Spirit!
To receive the “Mark of the Beast” is also a fatal error that must be avoided at all cost! And only by the grace of God, through the power of the Spirit of God, can we have the ability to resist this unforgivable sin! (See Revelation 15:2, 16:2, 19:20.)
For those who are true and faithful Christians, the Holy Spirit will reveal to us who and what is of God, and who and what is not; but until we can clearly discern His Voice we must “watch and pray,” and study and obey His Word, and have confidence that God will never leave or forsake those who truly love and belong to Him!
Jude 1:17 “But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Jude 1:18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
Jude 1:19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
Jude 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Jude 1:24 Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
Jude 1:25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”
I hope you are not, but if you are offended by this message, please ask yourself why? And then if you would, go to God’s word and show me why…
You are in my prayers! 💕
[This message obviously was quite offensive to some, and sadly I was told by an in-law to take her name off my list of folks I share my messages with…]
Something To Think About Today 15 November 2021:
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.” Psalm 23:6 KJV
We can not even imagine what it’s going to be like in Heaven. This earth is but a shadow of what we have to look forward to in the beautiful place that God has prepared for those who love and worship Him! I am reminded of one of my favorite verses:
Psalms 84:10 “For a day in Thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.”
Until that great and glorious Day when we see our dear Saviour face to face, may we be busy about the work of the LORD our God!
God bless and keep you and your loved ones! 🙏🏻💕
Something To Think About Today: 2 November 2021
“Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is Truth.
Ye are My witnesses, saith the LORD, and My servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe Me, and understand that I Am He: before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me.
I, even I, AM the LORD; and beside Me there is no Saviour.” Isaiah 43:9-11
This is my Testimony! No matter what other men may say, Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God, and He is the only Way to our Father in Heaven!
Praying for you Today! 💕
To my Special Contacts: Something To Think About: 19 October 2021
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
I have thought about that verse a lot lately, especially considering the season we are in… So many “Christians,” along with the world, are so fearful today… and sometimes for good reason, but for those who will put their trust in the LORD, and are born again of His Spirit, He will help us to overcome our fears and concerns through the power of His Holy Spirit.
People of the world are going crazy and more hateful, but God will put a love in our hearts and give us a sound mind in order to endure whatever may come! Praise God!
It is my sincere prayer that God will increase my love for Him, and His dear Son, the LORD Jesus Christ, and also for my fellow brethren who are in the household of faith!
No matter where you are, I want to encourage you to keep on trusting the LORD God Almighty— He IS faithful and true always, and He will see us through unto the end! Amen!💕🙏🏻
5 October 2021
May God open the eyes of His people before it’s too late…
Many people, and whole churches, have been taken in by the nice sounding contemporary music of Bethel Church, and other like-mind ministries such as Hillsong; but if you look a little deeper you will find that the Holy Spirit is not there, as evidenced by the demonic behavior exhibited at Bethel Church… [This evil has been going on for awhile and is directly related to the “laughing revival” of Toronto Canada, and the “Brownsville Revival,” of Pensacola, Florida all of which are of the Devil!]
I have been warning God’s people about these so called “revivals” and the Charismatic Movement for many years now, but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears!
I wonder, where are all the pastors, ministers, and fathers with Godly discernment warning unsuspecting people of the tactics of the Devil?
Music is one of the catalysts that Satan uses to allure people in order to entice them to bow before his altar. Case in point:
Daniel 3:7 “Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.” KJV
The acceptance of corrupt Bible versions is THE primary way that Satan has used to weaken God’s people. The poisonous manuscripts of Westcott and Hort were first introduced into the Holy Script (in 1881), in order to undermine the “Received Text”/KJV. It seems these evil men accomplished their goal, but God WILL have the Final Word!
I ask you: Are YOU strong enough in your faith toward God, and are you armed with the true knowledge of God’s Holy Word, so you can resist the lure of the Devil into his vortex of evil?
If you are already in Satan’s grip, may God have mercy on your soul! ONLY God can release the chains that bind you, and open the eyes of the blind.
Can’t you see that Satan is actively preparing the world, and whosoever he is able to deceive, to receive his mark?
Something To Seriously Think About!
Something To Think About Today 9/17/2021:
Psalms 79:13 “So we Thy people and sheep of Thy pasture will give Thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth Thy praise to all generations.”
May this be the legacy that we leave behind! God With Us! 🙏🏻💜
Something To Think About Today 8/20/2021:
With all the infighting, dissent, contention, confusion, and strife, particularly among those who claim to be Christians, I hope you will read this next passage with a desire to truly understand what God is saying to His people.
Yes, we MUST stand for the truth, and expose the lies, but do you contend for the truth of the gospel out of a sincere love in your heart, first of all for God, and His dear Son, but also a love for the lost who are not able to see the error of their ways?
“…for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.” John 12:35b
I am not talking about false teachers and workers of iniquity—“to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.” (Jude 1:13) But even when addressing those who are led by the Devil, we should not adopt the ways of the world in dealing with them…
Jude 1:8 “Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.”
Only as we are walking in the “True Light” of Christ can we know the Way we must go, so that we can then direct others to the LORD Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, who is the only way to our Father in Heaven!
1 Corinthians 13:1 “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (love), I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
1 Corinthians 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
1 Corinthians 13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
1 Corinthians 13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
1 Corinthians 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
1 Corinthians 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
1 Corinthians 13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
1 Corinthians 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”
If we see that we are not able to genuinely exhibit these traits from the heart, we must ask God why… He is the Only One that can truly change our hearts and our desires.
“Perfection,” has not yet come, and we don’t understand all things, but One great Day Jesus will come for those of us who truly love Him, and then we will see Him “as He is!”
Praying for you Today! 💜
[I would like to mention that this message garnered an ugly response from two men (evangelical bloggers), who were greatly offended by my message. This was the first and last time I had sent them “Something To Think About,” and according to them they rejected me because I am a woman, and in their view I have no business sharing this with a man.]
Something To Think About Today 8/19/2021:
To My Special Contacts:
Two years ago, I posted this article to my website at True Light Publications.
“The 2019 SBC”
https://truelightpublications.com/2019/08/21/the-2019-sbc/
Even if you have read it before, I hope you will re-read it when you have time, especially if you are concerned about the apostate condition of those who have been leading the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), and many of the churches and other entities.
The “seeds” planted by false teachers have produced much “fruit” that is now very evident…
Moreover, what has been going on in the SBC and it’s churches has greatly affected the direction of our country…
May God have mercy on those who have had their heads in the sand and been apathetic about these issues, and many other evils that have crept into the Church, especially those in leadership… 🙏🏻
Psalms 92:7 “When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
Psalms 92:8 But Thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.” Amen! 💜
Something To Think About Today 8/16/2021:
(I know you are probably busy, but please read this when you have a moment alone with the LORD.)
The following passage is so important to consider If we truly want to make a difference in other peoples lives—for eternity, not just in this world. And realize Jesus was saying this to His disciples:
Matthew 7:3 “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Matthew 7:4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Matthew 7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.”
We must be willing to examine our own lives first! May God show us anything we say, do, or think that is displeasing to Him, and may we be willing to turn from it! And only then can we be used as a “vessel unto honor,” and prepared for every good work! [See 2 Timothy 2:21 and Galatians 6:1 (Preferably from the KJV.)]
We must have “spiritual eyes,” so that we can see where we can truly help our brother (and sister)! And only through the grace and mercy of God, can we have “eyes to see,” and “ears to hear,” the Truth! Which shows why we desperately need Him!
I am praying for you Today, and always!💜
Something To Think about Today on 8/11/2021:
As I was thinking about the fact that I can no longer speak with my sister who recently passed away, it would be the greatest of sorrows if God was no longer available, and I could not communicate with Him!
But praise God, for those of us who truly love Him, we do have God in this world! And because of the gospel of Jesus Christ we can have hope all the way to the end!
I want to highlight a few verses that really speak to my heart Today!
1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”
….
1 Corinthians 2:7 “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
1 Corinthians 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.”
I so look forward to that glorious Day when we will meet God face to face, but until then my heart is set on the things of Heaven, and I pray I won’t let other things, and even that ole Devil, distract me from what the LORD God would have me to do!
You are in my prayers—always! 💜
Something To Think About Today: 8/7/2021
With so much sadness in this world, as Christians, we can still have hope and not sorrow as others who do not have Christ.
My greatest regret in losing my dear sister is I did not get to properly say goodbye and tell her how much I truly love her…😭That brings me great sadness, but God has given me an assurance that I will see her again one day… And He has a wonderful way of using the tragedies in my life and turn them around for my good and even the good of others…
As I Am led to share my testimony I pray that God will use my reflections of His Holy Word to cause others to have a deeper love for Almighty God, and be an encouragement to serve His dear Son the LORD Jesus Christ until He is ready to come get us and take us Home! 🥰
Ephesians 3:14 “For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Ephesians 3:15 Of Whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Ephesians 3:16 That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man;
Ephesians 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Ephesians 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Ephesians 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Ephesians 3:20 Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Ephesians 3:21 Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”
You and your family are in my prayers! With the love of Christ!💜
Something To Think About Today: 7/30/2021
Psalms 119:9 “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to Thy word.”
This can apply to male or female, young or old. God’s Word has wonderful cleansing power, and we must not neglect to allow the LORD God, through His Word, to show us our sin and how we can be pleasing to Him. God will let us go our own way for a time, and we can continue to do what is right in our own eyes, but it will be to our detriment.
I would much rather that God show me what I need to change in my life now in order to conform to His Word and His will, rather than when I am standing before Almighty God at the Judgment Day…
You are in my prayers! 💕
As David prayed to God, this is My Prayer to the LORD God Almighty! May this be your prayer too!
Psalms 130:1 “Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.
Psalms 130:2 Lord, hear my voice: let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
Psalms 130:3 If Thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
Psalms 130:4 But there is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared.
Psalms 130:5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope.”
The only way that we can survive and overcome this world is through keeping God’s Word, loving and believing in His Son, & being led by His Spirit!
Something To Think about Today! Selah!
You are in my prayers to the LORD! 💕🙏🏻
To My Special Contacts—Something To Think About Today 5/21/2021:
When you have a moment PLEASE read this passage as if your eternal life was dependent upon it! It tells about the people of Israel while they were wandering through the wilderness. It was a time of testing to see if God’s people truly loved Him. And it was also a time of Judgment for those who refused to honor God.
God requires our obedience, and it’s the least we can do, considering ALL that Christ has done for us when He gave His Life so that we could have eternal life in Heaven!
We must not take salvation for granted! Only those who truly love and obey God will make it!
My questions to you: Do you love God enough to obey Him? And do you honestly want to please Him in all that you say and do? Only Christ can give us power over sinful desires—the alternative is to be a slave to sin, bring pleasure to Satan, and end up in Hell!
If you are not walking with God, THAT is a very dangerous place to be!
One day all of us will give an account for what we do in our bodies whether it be good or evil. Please think about what I AM saying! Your eternal Life is dependent on what you do with the Son of God, the Word of God, and the Spirit of God!
May these words sink down into your heart and truly make a difference!
1 Corinthians 10:1 “Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
1 Corinthians 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
1 Corinthians 10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
1 Corinthians 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
1 Corinthians 10:5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
1 Corinthians 10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
1 Corinthians 10:7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
1 Corinthians 10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
1 Corinthians 10:9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
1 Corinthians 10:10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
1 Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.” 🙏🏻💕
Something To Think About Today 15 May 2021 / 4 Sivan 5781 / 48th Day of the Omer:
As I was reading today, this passage really stood out to me, and I hope you will prayerfully consider what God is saying here.
1 John 3:18 “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
1 John 3:19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.
1 John 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
1 John 3:21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.”
Conversely, if our heart does condemn us, or convict us of something we are doing, or have done, we must address it before God, with an open Bible and a sincere heart!
It’s all a matter of the heart! And praise God He is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness if we are willing to confess AND repent of our sins. Let us always keep our hearts before God in prayer and His Holy Word! Amen! 💕🙏🏻
Something To Think About Today 5/8/2021
All of us will experience disappointments, but we can’t let that define us. I was from a broken family and I used to cry a lot over my mom and dad, and our family situation. I had always wished that things were different, but God has healed those wounds and I am moving on!
As long as we are in this world, we will experience sadness, hardship, pain, and disappointments, but what we do with what we encounter in this life WILL determine our final destiny! And I choose to follow Jesus Christ, my LORD and Savior!
His Holy Word has a remedy for everything! And His Holy Spirit is the greatest of comforts to help us until we make it to the other side.
Ever since I gave my life to Christ in November 1979 I have wanted to take as many people to heaven with me as I can, but only those who are fully committed to Him, and have been born again of His Spirit can enter into His glorious Kingdom that God has prepared for those who love Him! And only through the amazing grace of Almighty God can it happen! It’s totally in His Hands!
I pray to God that I will see you on that glorious Day when this world has reached its end, and we are finally with Him! You are always in my prayers!
With the love of Christ,
Cathy❤️
Something To Think About Today 4/22/21:
As I was reading today I wanted to share a passage that I really love, and I hope you will prayerfully consider these beautiful words when you have time to read it…
God knew we would have disappointments, regrets, and trouble in this life, but His wonderful word always has a perfect remedy for those who love Him. And I know you do!
Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the LORD alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Philippians 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The LORD is at hand.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Something To Think About Today 4/16/21:
As I was reading today, I came across a verse that was fascinating to me, especially when I looked up the Hebrew definitions.
Proverbs 18:15 “The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh [*to search out (by any method, specifically in worship or prayer); by implication, to strive after:] knowledge.”
We can have knowledge of a lot of things, but is it according to the truth?
Only by God can we have true knowledge, and it is my hearts desire to diligently seek it out… I pray that is the desire of your heart too! 💕🙏🏻

Proverbs 8:32 “Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep My ways.
Proverbs 8:33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
Proverbs 8:34 Blessed is the man that heareth Me, watching daily at My gates, waiting at the posts of My doors.
Proverbs 8:35 For whoso findeth Me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.”
Hope you have a blessed day!💕🙂

1 Peter 3:15-16 KJV “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: [16] Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.”
This is truly one of my favorite passages! In fact, I have such a great desire to share “the hope” that is in me that God allowed me to publish my testimony over 26 years ago!
And through the ministry of “True Light” that God entrusted to me, I plan to continue as long as the LORD God allows me, and keeps that door open! www.truelightministries.us / www.truelightpublications.com
I have surely had opposition along the way, and I have been falsely accused at times, but I will continue to put my heart before the LORD God, so He can show me if I have done anything wrong and need to repent and change direction…
And even though a man, sent by Satan himself, tried to stop me, and I was “Walking With the Enemy,” for 3 1/2 years, God was with me! And He is still with me! All praise to the LORD Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven!
And one day, by the grace of Almighty God I will be with my LORD and my God forever in heaven. Amen!
THAT is the “hope” that has been within me ever since November of 1979 when I gave my heart and life to the LORD Jesus Christ, who gave His precious life, so that whomsoever will truly trust and believe in Him, can have eternal life!
And I hope and pray God will be with you forever too! Please know you are in my prayers!
With the love of Christ!

Here’s a wonderful passage that is all about the true Love of God! ❤️
1 John 3:14 “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
1 John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
1 John 3:17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
1 John 3:19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.
1 John 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
1 John 3:21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
1 John 3:23 And this is His commandment, That we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment.
1 John 3:24 And he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in Him, and He in him. And hereby we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit which He hath given us.”
May we keep our hearts before Almighty God in His Word and by prayer!
I look forward to the Day when we will be with our dear God who gave His precious life for us! And may we be unashamed on that great and glorious Day when we see Him face to face!
You are in my prayers! With the love of Christ! ❤️
Something To Think About Today 1/8/2021:
I have always hoped that my children would continue the habit of reading the Proverbs and Palms in their families. Here’s just a few verses that I want to highlight from Proverbs for Today:
Proverbs 8:32 “Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep My ways.
Proverbs 8:33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
Proverbs 8:34 Blessed is the man that heareth Me, watching daily at My gates, waiting at the posts of My doors.
Proverbs 8:35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
Proverbs 8:36 But he that sinneth against Me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate Me love death.”
And here’s one of my favorite verses:
Psalms 84:10 “For a day in Thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.”
I love you, and hope your love for God will abound more and more as you follow Him…💕
Something To Think About today 30 December 2020:
When you take time to be alone with the LORD, please read these vital passages that have very serious ramifications. I know this is a bit lengthy, but I share this with the hope that you will allow God to speak to your heart through His Holy Word…
Hebrews 10:7-27 KJV
“Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of Me,) to do Thy will, O God.
[8] Above when He said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin Thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
[9] Then said He, Lo, I come to do Thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that He may establish the second. [10] By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
[11] And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
[12] But this man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God. [13] From henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool.
[14] For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
[15] Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that He had said before, [16] This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the LORD, I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; ( Jeremiah31:31)[17] And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
[18] Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
[19] Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, [20] By a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh;
[21] And having an high priest over the house of God; [22] Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
[23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;)
[24] And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: [25] Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
[26] For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, [27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.”
Jesus Christ did not give His life so that we can pick and choose what sins we will commit and which ones we won’t… If you don’t hate sin, and love righteousness, you have yet to be “born again.”
I don’t care what men, especially SBC preachers, say about “once saved always saved;” if you can willfully sin, and you are not convicted in your heart of your wrong doing, you have NOT been “born again,” by God’s Spirit.
Consider some of what Jesus said in response to Nicodemus when he came to the LORD Jesus in the dark of the night, most likely so that the other religious leaders would not see him with Jesus.
John 3:5 “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
I choose to believe God over any man, especially if that man contradicts the clear word of God! And sadly even SBC leaders, and many in leadership positions in the churches, have fallen away from the Truth, and are leading innocent souls astray!
Paul addressed those who belonged to God, but were under an evil influence.
Galatians 3:1 “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?”
God said the “Final Days” would be marked by great deception. All of us need to examine ourselves and see if there is anything in our life that is displeasing to God, and if we humbly receive His word, He will show us what is in our heart so that we can see it and repent. God is so faithful to forgive His people who truly love Him!
Ephesians 5:6 “Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Ephesians 5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
Ephesians 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Ephesians 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Ephesians 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
Ephesians 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
Ephesians 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
Ephesians 5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Ephesians 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Ephesians 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”
The problem with so many people, is they really don’t fear God! They may say they do, but their actions prove otherwise. It seems that so many Christians are more concerned about pleasing men… for whatever reason. You may be afraid to rock the boat because it is easier to follow the crowd, or you may be more concerned with your life here and don’t really care to stand up for God and His Word, or you may even believe you are standing for God, but are actually under a deception. And there may even be those among us, who for nefarious reasons, seek to curry favor from God’s people and take advantage of them for their own personal gain—God speaks of those who misuse the Gospel, in order to lead God’s people away from Him and His Truth, and it will not be well with them now, or when they stand before Almighty God on the Judgment Day!
Galatians 1:6 “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Galatians 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Galatians 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Galatians 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”
If you have “eyes to see,” we ARE in the last of the “Final Days,” and it’s time for those who have been sleeping to WAKE UP!
There’s much more I could say, but I hope you will ponder in your heart the Scriptures I have sighted, and prayerfully consider, Whose side your on?
I have you in my prayers! C. Read
(Your mother, your sister, or your friend—or maybe even your enemy— however it may apply.) 💕
P.S.
One last Scripture to think about. And please realize, God was referring to His people who were seeking to please Him, and walk in His ways; NOT to His disobedient children who were walking in sin and rebellion!
(I encourage you to read the whole chapter to see the context if you truly want to understand—preferably from the KJV, a Bible version untainted by the manuscript of evil men such as Westcott & Hort.)
Zephaniah 3:17 “The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing.”
